All the actors are asymptomatic and under home isolation. The set for the show has been sanitised and fumigated
Guwahati: The shooting for one of Star Plus' longest running shows, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (YRKKH) has been halted after three actors Sachin Tyagi, Samir Onkar and Swati Chitnis and four technicians tested positive for COVID-19.
The show had resumed telecasting and started with a new track wherein Tyagi, loses his memory due to an accident, and his on screen son, Kartik takes care of him. Recently, Ganesh Chaturthi was also celebrated on the sets of YRKKH.
According to reports, producer Rajan Shahi in an official statement informed that actors Swati Chitnis, Sachin Tyagi, Samir Onkar, who are an integral part of the show have tested positive for COVID-19, but the they are asymptomatic. However, due to safety reasons, they are in home quarantine. BMC has advised them for the same.
Further, the entire on-crew team was isolated and tested, and four crew members tested positive. Shahi said that the BMC has been informed about the same and the entire set has been sanitised and fumigated.
