The short video clip shows the woodpecker pecking on the concrete wall trying to dig a nest in it
A sad video of a woodpecker pecking a hole on a concrete wall has left everyone heartbroken and the internet holds humans responsible for encroaching and taking away the natural habitats of birds and animals.
The short video clip was shared on Twitter by an officer of Indian Forest Services (IFS) Susanta Nanda.
Susanta took to the micro-blogging site and shared the video with the caption "Urbanised woodpecker. Digging for nest in a concrete wall must be a new low. Had never realised that it’s beak can be so strong (sic)."
Though Susanta was awestruck by the strength of the woodpecker's beak, he was also heartbroken by the fact that the bird had to dig a nest in a concrete wall. Susanta called the situation a new low for all humans.
