Bongaigaon: Younger brother of veteran actor Dilip Kumar died early on Friday after suffering from diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart disease. Kumar's brother Aslam Khan had tested positive for COVID-19 and his death was confirmed by Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
Two of Dilip Kumar's brothers, Aslam and Eshan, were admitted to Lilavati hospital last week after both of them complained of breathlessness.
After being admitted to the hospital, both Aslam and Eshan tested positive for COVID-19 and were immediately shifted to the coronavirus ward of the hospital. According to hospital authorities, their oxygen level dropped below 80 per cent.
Earlier, Dr Jalil Parker of Lilavati hospital while speaking to the media said: “They have been kept in ICU but we haven’t intubated them as yet. Considering their age and pre-condition health issues like diabetes and hypertension, we have to be extra careful while treating them.”
