The Biocon chairperson said on Twitter she has mild symptoms and hopes it stays that way
Guwahati: Biocon chairperson and managing director Kiran Mazumdar Shaw tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday night.
Informing about the development, Shaw, 67, tweeted, "I have added to the Covid count by testing positive. Mild symptoms n I hope it stays that way."
Following which, her timeline was abuzz with speedy recovery messages.
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor tweeted, "So sorry to hear this, @KiranShaw. We need you hale & hearty soon! Be well, my friend."
Bengaluru is one of the hubs for coronavirus, as the city has shown a drastic increase in the number of infections since the beginning of July. Bengaluru Urban district has the most number of coronavirus cases in Karnataka with over 91,000 cases.
