Woman poses as cop, issues COVID challans in Delhi; gets caught
New Delhi: Criminals disguised as cops taking advantage of people is not new in movies, but this time it happened for real in Delhi. But unlike the movies, this time cops outsmarted the perpetrator who was dressed as a fake police person.
In a weird incident, a woman was caught by the police while she was posing as assistant sub-inspector and issuing challan to COVID-19 rule violators in Delhi. A post shared on the official Twitter handle of DCP West Delhi details the incident.
The tweet posted in the account of DCP West Delhi said "Fake lady ASI issuing Covid challans nabbed."
“Tamanna Jahan couldn’t outsmart HC Satish & CT Ashok/PS Tilak Nagar while issuing challans for COVID violations to the unsuspecting violators as ASI in fake uniform,” the tweet further stated.
Tweet also contained two photographs of the woman and stated that she has been "booked accordingly."
The tweet attracted several reactions from users and one also wrote "Reminds me of Babli from Bunty aur Babli" referring to a Bollywood movie about a duo that pulled off all kinds of cons on unsuspecting people.
