Guwahati: Filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2 trailer became the most disliked video on YouTube in less than 24hrs. The trailer released on Wednesday was viewed by over 32 million and has now over 8.2 million dislikes and just 444 k likes.

Post the death of Sushant Singh Rajput; many have pointed out the ruthless nepotism that exists in Bollywood. Many prominent members of the Bollywood film fraternity were called out including actors, producers, directors who favour star kids over talented ones. The allegations were fierce, and Mahesh Bhatt and his younger daughter Alia Bhatt are also in the radar. Fans of Rajput have now made it a campaign to make it the most disliked video on YouTube. One needs to scroll through the comment section to discover it.

Back in 2018, when YouTube released its ‘YouTube Rewind 2018’, it became one of the most disliked videos with over 18 million dislikes. However, upon comparing the dislike ratios, the video stands at 86%, which is still better than Sadak 2, where the rate is approximately 95%. And the kicker is that it’s just day two of the trailer release.

This puts the trailer right at the top dislike ratio with PewDiePie’s (Swedish Gamer) video “Can this video get 1 million dislikes?” coming in a close second with 93% dislikes at 4.88 million dislikes.

The film is also Mahesh’s directorial return after two decades and a sequel to his 1991 film which starred Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt.

Sadak 2 features Sanjay Dutt who has lost his will to live after the death of his beloved (Pooja Bhatt). Arya (Alia Bhatt) then makes her way into his life as along with Aditya, and they leave for a journey to Kailash Mountain. However, a self-styled guru, played by Makrand Deshpande is out to kill her.

The film will be released on the OTT platform Disney + Hotstar on August 28.
