Dutt complained of chest discomfort and his oxygen saturation level in the body suddenly dipped; stable now
Mumbai: Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt was hospitalised at Lilavati Hospital on Saturday after he complained of chest discomfort and his oxygen saturation level in the body suddenly dipped. Dutt has been kept in intensive care unit (ICU) and is now stable, say reports.
During his hospitalisation, he underwent a rapid antigen test for COVID-19 but tested negative for the disease, said doctors. Also, RT-PCR rest was also conducted on Dutt and he turned negative for coronavirus.
Dr Jalil Parkar, who is treating Dutt, informed the media that a few more tests are being conducted on him to assess his medical condition and to find out why his oxygen saturation level suddenly dropped.
Chief operating officer of Lilavati Hospital Dr V Ravishankar while speaking to the media said that Dutt is currently stable and is responding well.
Sanjay Dutt later took to Twitter and wrote “Just wanted to assure everyone that I’m doing well. I’m currently under medical observation & my COVID-19 report is negative. With the help & care of the doctors, nurses & staff at Lilavati hospital, I should be home in a day or two. Thank you for your well wishes & blessings.”
