New Delhi: In a bizarre incident, a woman was severely injured when an auto driver came flying and crashed into her in Bengaluru. The CCTV footage that has gone viral shows a wire hanging loose on the road getting stuck in the wheel of an autorickshaw and sending the auto driver flying into the air.

The woman, Sunita K, was walking to her hotel when an auto driver was caught in a wire and catapulted into the air.

"It all happened in a fraction of a second. Someone called my name and I turned around to see why. The next thing I see is an auto driver flying towards me like an Anjaneya. Then he crashed into me and I collapsed," said Sunita to the media.

Sunita was in pain and felt blood flowing down her neck. She was immediately rushed to the hospital by her husband who works nearby. She received 52 stitches on her head while the auto driver escaped unhurt.
