New Delhi: A video of a car being washed away by flowing water has gone viral on social media. The car was travelling from Kadapa to Bijapur in Karnataka when it got washed away while crossing a culvert that was overflowing with rainwater at Anantapur district.
The passengers travelling in the car had a miraculous escape as depth of the waterflow became shallow after around 100 metres. Water overflowed on the culvert after two days of continuous rainfall in the region.
The two youths, Rakesh and Yousuf, were travelling in the car following a bus while trying to cross the culvert overflowing with rainwater at around 8:40 am on July 30.
With water flowing with full force, the car suddenly floated and got washed away from the culvert. According to reports, the youths managed to escape as the water ahead was shallow and the car did not get submerged.
