New Delhi: Doordarshan recently gave Indian K-pop fans the shock of their lives by airing a K-pop song called Be The Future starring bands like AleXa, IN2IT and Dreamcatcher. The video was aired to reflect the difficulties people are facing during coronavirus pandemic and how to adapt to them.
Soon after the song was aired on Doordarshan, fans of K-pop bands like EXO, BTS, Blackpink and many more flooded Twitter with tweets begging Doordarshan to play more Korean content on a regular basis.
The craziness started with a tweet from an account called Korean Culture India FC that posted a clip of the song playing on Doordarshan channel. The tweet read "Omg! Be the future ft. Alexa, IN2IT & DREAMCATCHER was aired on Doordarshan!! One of the first and oldest Indian tv channels that's huge! Thank you @DDNational! We truly appreciate you and hope to see more K-Pop! #KpopLovesDoordarshan (sic)."
