Conspiracy against the country were hatched last year and they were planning to carry out terror attacks in south India, say reports
New Delhi: Chargesheet against 17 ISIS terrorists have been filed by National Investigation Agency (NIA) after a terror group was formed by two terrorists from Bengaluru and Cuddalore.
According to the chargesheet filed by NIA, the conspirators Mehboob Pasha from Bengaluru and Khaja Moideen of Cuddalore who formed the terror group belong from ISIS. The case was initially registered by Bengaluru Police for forming a terror group and spreading the ideologies and activities of the ISIS.
The accused were conspiring at the Al-Hind office of Pasha in Bengaluru and Cuddalore. The conspiracy plans against the country were hatched last year and they were planning to carry out terror attacks in South India.
Pasha and Moideen also recruited vulnerable youth into their terror group and procured arms and ammunition along with large quantity of explosives for making IEDs.
According to reports, the duo also collected jungle training material to conduct training exercises at Shivanasamudra and Gundelpet in Karnataka. They were also in touch with unidentified foreign ISIS handlers through dark web. NIA has started a detailed investigation into the matter.
