Suspended DSP Davinder Singh produced in special NIA court in Jammu along with 2 terrorists, who he was helping travel out of J&K, and their two associates
Tinsukia: Jammu & Kashmir cop Davinder Singh, who was arrested for aiding terrorists, was produced in a special court in Jammu on Thursday and was sent to 15-day NIA custody with four co-accused, officials said.
An official press release of the agency said that the suspended officer was produced in the special NIA court along with the two terrorists, who he was helping travel out of Jammu & Kashmir, and their two associates. "The NIA had sought 15-day custody to interrogate the five and the court granted the request."
The NIA, which took over the investigations into the case last weekend following MHA orders, brought them to New Delhi on Wednesday on a transit remand from Kulgam in south Kashmir.
According to sources, the accused, with their face covered, were brought to the court in bullet-proof vehicles. "Syed Irfan, brother of a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist arrested along with Singh, was also produced in the court by the NIA after it arrested him on Thursday," the sources added.
