Kohima: Two motorcyclists from Nagaland, Thejakielie Zuyie and Pelevizo Meyase, have set out on a statewide motorcycle campaign to advocate for a mobile application named “MonAram”, a healthcare protection app for the state of Nagaland.
The motorcycle campaign was flagged off by Start-Up Nagaland team leader and assistant director of Industries and Commerce Keneirienuo Theünuo at the Directorate, on Friday morning.
She lauded the campaign as a brilliant and innovative initiative having the potential to provide excellent service to public as most Nagas are not serious about insurance.
She informed that with a registration fee of Rs 500, registered persons will be eligible to receive instant emergency treatment at the empanelled healthcare facilities. She hoped that the application will be promoted and more Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) be signed with healthcare providers for the people’s welfare.
MonAram’s brand ambassador Thejakielie Zuyie, before setting out on the journey, said MonAram is not an insurance but a healthcare package provider designed specifically to cover accident cases for registered members.
The package will enable registered members to avail medical treatment worth up to Rs 5,000 without paying cash at any of the empanelled healthcare facilities in vehicle or any other domestic accidental cases, and an additional of Rs 2,000 for cases of dental accident(s) which are not covered by other insurance companies.
In case of an accident, the next of kin of the registered member will be eligible to receive a sum of Rs 50,000 as ex-gratia.
