Kohima: The Dimapur police apprehended four drug smugglers from the Duncan Bosti area in Dimapur after an operation was launched based on its credible intelligence input.

On receiving input about a drug smuggling activity from the area, the Dimapur Police led by Officer-in-Charge of the West police station launched the raid at a suspected apartment.

The police recovered 130 grams of brown sugar concealed in 12 soap cases.
Two of the accused were arrested from the location, while two drug smugglers were arrested from Khermahal and Sematila Colony. One of the arrested persons is female.

According to the Police, the arrested persons were identified as Moses (39) of Chimai village under Senapati district of Manipur district; Paul Humtsoe (41) of Sanis under Wokha district; Martha (34) of Shirong village, Senapati; and Daveikho (26) of Phaipung, Senapati. All the accused are presently residing in Dimapur.
