Nagaland 'Unlock 5': Check what’s allowed, what's not till September 2

Kohima: Amid a reduction in the number of new COVID-19 cases in the state, Nagaland entered the fifth phase of ‘Unlock’ on Thursday.

As part of the phase-wise relaxation, more activities have now been allowed till September 2.

Check out what remains closed and what all activities are now permitted in the state.

What remains closed

  1. Swimming pools and cinemas shall continue to remain closed
  2. The conduct of regular classes for the students of Class X and below in all the schools of the state shall remain suspended, and the schools will continue with the present system of online teaching.

What is permitted

  1. Social, political, religious, entertainment academic, cultural events and other public gatherings have been allowed up to a maximum of 50 per cent capacity but subject to all the participants being asymptomatic, and being fully vaccinated (taken both the doses) against COVID-19 or having taken the first dose of vaccine against COVID-19 and at least 15 days having passed since taking the first dose. For unvaccinated persons, a COVID-19 negative test report, done through either RT-PCR, TrueNat, or CBNAAT, with the swab given for the testing not earlier than 15 days. In addition, there should be complete adherence to COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and maintenance of social distancing by all concerned.
  2. Sports activities including competitions have been allowed with up to a maximum of 50 per cent capacity. The criteria for participation remain the same for social, political and other gatherings.
  3. Government offices to function with 100 per cent attendance of Group A and B officers on all working days, and for other employees, the attendance will be 50 per cent. In the interest of public health and safety, the employees and staff all the offices in the state are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19 to attend office, and if not taken even a single dose of vaccine against COVID-19, the employee concerned is required to produce COVID-19 negative test report every 15 days through either RT-PCR, TrueNat, CBNAAT, by getting tested at any government facility free of charge.
  4. Two-wheeler taxi and pillion riding have been permitted, subject to all COVID-19 SOP directed by the state government.
  5. Outdoor parks, entertainment parks, recreation areas and similar places are now allowed to open up to a maximum of 50 per cent capacity and subject to all the persons managing the parks and such facilities, as well as all the visitors, including the children, being asymptomatic. Persons above 18 years of age are required to should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or should have taken the first dose of vaccine against COVID-I9, and at least 15 days should have passed since taking the first dose, or should carry a COVID-19 negative test report done through either RT-PCR, TrueNat, CBNAAT, with the swab given for the testing not earlier than 15 days.
  6. Gymnasiums have been allowed up to 50 per cent of the capacity. The person(s) managing the gymnasium, as well as all those using the services are required to follow the same conditions as those managing the parks and visiting the parks.

The state government announced that as for relaxations made for public gatherings and two-wheeler taxis, a separate SOP will be notified by the home department.

Further, the District Task Forces (DTF) has also been given the authority to consider imposing stricter measures or rolling back certain relaxations in specified areas in the district, if an exceptional situation arises, and if the DTF is satisfied that such measures are necessary under intimation to the government.
