Kohima: In the past 24 hours, Nagaland has reported a record high of 366 fresh COVID-19 cases taking the state tally to 17,256. The new cases were detected out of 1,494 samples sent for testing.
12 COVID-19 related deaths have also been reported in the state increasing the death toll in the state to 166. Nagaland recorded 21 COVID-19 deaths in two days.
Among the new cases, 164 were detected from Dimapur, 128 from Kohima, 13 from Mokokchung, 12 each from Wokha and Zunheboto, 10 from Kiphire, nine from Mon, seven from Phek, five from Tuensang, three each from Peren and Longleng.
The state’s active cases currently stand at 3,551. As per the severity of symptoms among the active cases, 3,220 are asymptomatic, 181 are mild symptomatic, 47 are moderate on oxygen, 88 are severe on oxygen, five are severe in ICU on a ventilator, and ten are severe in ICU on a ventilator.
The number of recovered cases in the state also increased to 12,968 after 91 COVID-19 patients recovered. Among the recovered cases, 66 were from Dimapur, 10 from Mon, eight from Kohima, six from Mokokchung, and one from Zunheboto.
