Kohima: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) on Tuesday expressed anguish over the delay in the disbursement of scholarship to students under the State Merit Scholarship (Post Matric) for the current year.
In an ultimatum submitted to the Director of Higher Education department, the student body said that “it has been the trend of the department to introduce new excuses year after year on delaying the disbursement of scholarship to the students.”

The ANCSU is anguished by yet another delay for disbursement of State Merit Scholarship 2021, it said.
The student body further warned the government, saying, “consequent upon the failure of the department to disburse the State Merit Scholarship 2021 within 14 days from the date undersigned, the ANCSU shall resort to any befitting democratic protest of the day.”
