Kohima: Nagaland reported 55 fresh cases of COVID-19 were detected in on Monday, taking the tally to 13,238. Of this, 727 are active cases. Two people are reported critical and rare in the ICU on a ventilator.
Among the new cases, 38 were detected from Dimapur, nine from Kohima, three each from Mokokchung and Mon, and one each from Kiphire and Longleng. Of the reported cases, 46 are through traced contacts, and nine cases are among returnees and travellers.

While three COVID-19 patients from Phek (2) and Tuensang (1) recovered, the number of active cases is at 727. As per the severity of symptoms, 636 are asymptomatic, 67 are mild symptomatic, 11 are moderate on oxygen, 11 are severe on oxygen, and two are critical in ICU on a ventilator.
A total of 12,135 out of the total confirmed cases are recovered cases. The state has also reported 88 COVID-19 related deaths so far.
Meanwhile, given the detection of COVID-19 cases, Mon deputy commissioner Thavaseelan K IAS, has ordered the sealing of the planning office in Mon Town for 48 hours till further orders. The DC also ordered the sealing of a government quarter at Wagiem Ward in Mon Town till further orders.
The ADC of Naginimora, Vineet Kumar, also ordered the sealing of a house at Police Colony in Naginimora under Mon district till further orders given the COVID-19 detection.
