In a lovely gesture of kindness, an Army Major helped a Nagaland girl go to school after she had to drop out of school due to financial constraints.

In a tweet, the Spear Corps said, “#IndianArmy @SpearCorps lauds Maj Suneel Tadi  of

@official_dgar helping Keyinzeuheile Zelui of Keiupuzang, Peren, #Nagaland by getting her into Dimapur school by own expense, had dropped out for financial reason from school in  HP.”

His act of kindness was lauded by several netizens.

Major Suneel Tadi of Assam Rifles has been an active voice in promoting girl’s education for quite some time now. In January this year, he spoke on gender-based inequality. He emphasised the re-orientation of parents and upheld the value of girls in the family. “Just as a car cannot run itself without its driver, similarly, a society cannot function effectively without women’s involvement”, Army Major Tadi added.
