Nagaland: Restrictions on movement of govt vehicles lifted
Dimapur: The Naga Students Federation and the Eastern Naga Students' Federation have called off the statewide ban on the vehicular movements of government registered NL-10 and NL-11 vehicles in the state.
In a joint statement, the Naga Students Federation and the Eastern Naga Students' Federation have said that the ban was imposed against the government of Nagaland's 'inaction' in mainstreaming the SSA-RMSA 2010 and 2013 batches into the state education cadre.
However, with the state government affirming the student bodies that the state government has taken due notice of the issue and meeting the demands to streamline the SSA-RMSA teachers of 2010 and 2013 batches within 18 months.
The two bodies in a joint statement stated, "The two federations are happy to announce that the state government through a notification No. DSE/SSA/REPRE/4-32/2016 (pt) dated even no. 18th October 2020 has met our demand to streamline the SSA-RMSA teachers of 2010 and 2013 batches within 18 months without any other conditions whatsoever."
The statewide bandh was first called on October 12 where a total of 37 vehicles violating the bandh were seized by the volunteers of the two federations from all over the state.
