Kohima: The government of India (GoI) through the office of the Ceasefire Monitoring Group (CFMG)/Ceasefire Supervisory Board (CFSB) extended the ceasefire agreement with NSCN-Reformation for another six more months.
NSCN-R MIP informed that the ceasefire extension agreement was signed on Thursday at the CFMG/CFSB office in Kohima.
During the signing of the agreement, both parties maintained that it will continue to uphold the procedures that are at hand in order to promote peace in the region and to also pave way for the smooth functioning of the ‘Political Journey’ between the centre and the NSCN.
Centre extends ceasefire with NSCN-R for six more months
The NSCN-R and the Centre agreed in principle to continue to uphold the sanctity of the laid down Ceasefire Ground Rules (CFGR)
