Nagaland: Existing guidelines on partial re-opening of schools to continue
Kohima: Through a new order on Thursday, the state government has notified that existing guidelines in regard to partial re-opening of schools for students of class IX-XII on a voluntary basis shall continue to remain in force.
Besides the partial re-opening of schools, skill or entrepreneurship training institutes/centres in the state will also continue to remain operative, informed J Alam, IAS, chief secretary.
The order, which was previously issued dated September 18, will continue to remain in force in the state till further orders.
As per the existing guidelines, students of classes IX-XII are "permitted to visit their schools, in areas outside the containment zones only, on voluntary basis, for taking guidance from their teachers subject to written consent of their parents or guardians, subject to strict adherence to all the provisions in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)".
Altogether 50 per cent of teaching and non-teaching staff, residing outside containment zones, are also permitted to be called to the schools at a time for online teaching, tele-counselling and related work.
