Is the Naga accord being finalized without the NSCN-IM?
Kohima: Following reports of a "draft" of the Naga peace accord being finalised without NSCN-IM, the rebel group on Wednesday slammed media reports for "creating unnecessary sensation".

The rebel group said that "mischief mongers" are indulging in "wild projection that the Naga accord is finalised, leaving aside NSCN, pointing to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and security sources".
The NSCN-IM accused certain MHA officials and security officials of "working in tandem" with some media groups with a "twin purpose of putting pressure" on the NSCN-IM and further confusing the Naga people that the Naga solution without Naga flag and constitution.
NSCN-IM said that this is done with the intension to divide and confuse the Naga people and to detach them from the issue of Naga flag and constitution.
The statement from NSCN-IM claims that "the groundswell is building up fast among the Naga people that there is no meaning of bringing Naga solution without the flag and the constitution."
"What is there for the Naga people to gain out of Naga deal if we are to lose our political identity that is identified by flag and constitution"? This is the question playing into the conscience of the Naga people at large," the group said.
NSCN-IM claims that highly motivated media reports with sources from the Home Ministry and security are creating unnecessary sensation as desired by those vested groups, it added.
NSCN-IM reiterated its stand that "there is no way forward on Indo-Naga talk without finalizing on Naga flag and constitution". The group informed that talk on Naga flag and constitution is going on with the government in "all seriousness".
