With 23 from Dimapur, 17 from Kohima, and one from Phek testing positive for COVID-19, State's tally touches 4,107
Kohima: With a daily surge in the number of COVID-19 cases, Nagaland reports a total of 4,107 positive cases as another 41 fresh cases have been detected in the state on Friday.
The new cases were declared as positive out of 950 samples that were tested. Among the new cases, 23 have been detected from Dimapur, 17 from Kohima, and one is from Phek.
Meanwhile, another 37 COVID-19 patients recovered on Friday. Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom informed that the state's medical team is in action to implement all precautionary measures to contain the spread of virus.
Taking to Twitter, the health minister wrote: "Out of 950 samples tested, 41 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported. 23 in Dimapur, 17 in Kohima & 1 in Phek.
And also 37 patients of COVID-19 has been recovered. Our medical team are in action to implement all precautionary measures to contain the spread of virus".
Besides the eight COVID-19 confirmed death, two deaths are COVID-19 positive but not due to COVID-19, and five deaths are under investigation. All reported deaths are from Dimapur district.
