COVID-19 active cases dropped to 1,530 in state and recovered cases increased to 2,074, as another 153 were discharged today
Kohima: For the second consecutive day, the total number of recovered cases in Nagaland has surpassed the number of active cases as another 153 more COVID-19 patients were discharged on Friday.
Among the new recovered cases, 90 are from Kohima, 41 from Dimapur, 13 from Peren, and nine from Zunheboto. Nagaland health minister informed that all recovered patients are kept under strict surveillance.
The total number of recovered cases in the state surpassed the number of active cases on Thursday. With another 153 persons recovering from COVID-19, the current active cases dropped to 1,540 and the recovered increased to 2,074.
As reported, 36 new cases of COVID-19 were reported earlier on Friday. Out of the new cases, 29 are through traced contacts --13 from Kohima, seven each from Dimapur and Zunheboto and two from Peren, three are armed force personnel from Dimapur, three are returnees -- two from Dimapur and one from Kohima, and one is a frontline worker from Dimapur.

Death: 7 (One death is COVID-19 positive but not due to COVID-19. Therefore, it is not reflected in the tally).
Out of 2,074 active cases, 1,509 are asymptomatic, 20 from Dimapur are mild symptomatic and one from Dimapur is moderate symptomatic.
