The celebration is in furtherance of the Naga people's legitimate rights based on historical facts, says Naga Students' Federation
Kohima: As the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) observed the 74th Naga Independence Day on Friday, the students' body appealed all Nagas to accept each other's weaknesses and differences and strive towards the "ultimate goal".
While the NSF hoisted the 'Naga flag' at the NSF headquarters in Kohima, its federating units and subordinate bodies also hoisted it on the occasion.
"As Nagalim celebrates its 74th year of its length and breath, free from any occupational and imperialistic forces, the federation joins the Naga people in taking their legacy forward. Today's celebration is in furtherance of the Naga people's legitimate rights based on historical facts," an official statement from the NSF said.
It reiterated its appeal to the Naga people "to love one another unconditionally, accept each other's weaknesses, respect each other's differences and together with Christ, strive towards our ultimate goal".
