"It may be mentioned that the COVID positive person works at the Canteen of the Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland. The Office of the Commissioner, Nagaland has been sealed for 48 hours as per SOP," it said.
The deputy commissioner also said that the District Task Force (DTF) Kohima had an emergency meeting and activated the relevant line departments as per the Incident Response System (IRS).
Containment Zone is mapped, and necessary cordoning of the area/colony in the proximity of the epicentre has been made, it informed.
The person is identified as a primary contact of a frontline worker who tested positive for COVID-19 while in the line of duty, therefore the government is ruling out community transmission.
As reported, Community transmission is when there is no clear source of origin of the infection in the community, and it happens only when we can no longer identify who became infected, after being exposed to someone who interacted with people from the originally infected communities. Local transmission indicates locations where the source of infection is within the reporting location.
