3 from Mon and 1 from Peren test positive for COVID-19; total tally soars to 539 in Nagaland, including 342 active cases
Kohima: With four more persons testing positive for COVID-19 on Friday morning, the number of active cases in the state has now soared to 539. Health minister S Pangnyub Phom took to Twitter to inform that three out of these are from Mon quarantine centre and one from Peren
The four new COVID-19 cases were reported out of the 259 samples that were sent for testing. The COVID-19 status in Nagaland as of 9:30 am on Friday is 539 positive cases, including 342 active cases and 197 recovered cases.
Phom tweeted: "Update! Out of 259 samples tested. 4 fresh positive cases of COVID-19 +ve have been detected. 3 in Mon QC & 1 in Kohima QC. Total State status as of 9:30 AM, 3rd July, 2020. Positive : 539 Active : 342 Recovered : 197"
He later clarified saying: "Error regretted! One patient tested COVID-19 +ve in Kohima should read as Peren not as rendered."
