GATC had released two albums prior to signing a multi-album deal with the label – Back On Earth and Rock the Highway. The band has released two singles from the album in November and December and has plans to release a single each month till the album’s final release in February.

“We released Lover’s Train in November, this was just a single audio release with some artwork and the second one was ‘Primeval Desire’ which is a heavier song and it’s also our first video from the upcoming album. We announced on December 2 that the album will be out in February,” Girish Pradhan, vocalist of the band, told Eastmojo.

“Girish had composed ‘Primeval Desire’ a long time back which was just sitting there and we recorded demos and we decided to use it for our first album and we worked on it and then talked to the label and they too were keen on making a music video for ‘Primeval Desire’,” said Yogesh Pradhan, a fellow bandmate and brother of Girish Pradhan who is the bass guitarist in the band.

GATC is all set to release another single and music video from the album named after the album Hail To The Heroes. The album is a reflection of the music they grew up listening to, which sadly, Girish believes, is not mainstream. Their new album has elements of heavy metal, hard rock and has an 80s kind of vibe going on.

“We as a band had a great time working on that song. We got really good comments from all over the world and some big magazines published the story and radio (stations) played it too. We all are waiting for the main day (Feb 11, 2022) when our album Hail To The Heroes will be released,” Suraz Sun, lead guitarist of GATC told EastMojo.

When asked about the inspiration behind the name of the album Hail To The Heroes, the vocalist said that the same was dedicated to all the Rock legends that have been passing away, “when legends like Van Halen passed away, it personally was a sad time for me and we decided to dedicate the album to these heroes, like a tribute for our audiences who still listen to the music of this genre.”

GATC recently performed at the ‘UrRock Musik Festival 2021’ headlined by Nazareth on November 14 this year and are also looking forward to their upcoming UK tour scheduled to happen in June 2022 with a headlining act by Steelheart.

The band also had shows in Hornbill, Guwahati and Gangtok, and were planning more shows in Darjeeling and other places in the Northeast when the chain linked to their performance in Nagaland ended up being cancelled due to the unfortunate turn of events in the state’s Mon district following the civilian killings.

GATC signed a multi-album deal with Frontiers Music Srl in 2020. The Italian label is associated with well-known bands like Little River Band, Jeff Lynne, Winger, Styx, Toto, Yes, Joe Lynn Turner, Journey, Thunder, Survivor, Glenn Hughes, House of Lords, Crush 40, Hardline, Jeff Scott Soto, Whitesnake, Boston and FM.

Three of the band members hail from Sikkim while their drummer is from Darjeeling. They have been settled in Bangalore for professional reasons.

Girish Pradhan, vocalist on the rhythm guitar, Suraz Sun, lead guitarist, Yogesh Pradhan, bass guitarist and Nagen Mongrati on the drums, can’t wait to take their music to the next level with their new album.

Here is the track-list of their new album with one of their tracks Rock N’ Roll Fever featuring Chris Adler, Myrone and Rowan Robertson.
