Bangalore based heavy metal band Girish And The Chronicles have signed a multi-album deal with Frontiers Music Srl.

Apart from launching new bands, the label is also associated with well-known bands like Little River Band, Jeff Lynne, Winger, Styx, Toto, Yes, Joe Lynn Turner, Journey, Thunder, Survivor, Glenn Hughes, House of Lords, Crush 40, Hardline, Jeff Scott Soto, Whitesnake, Boston and FM.

The band released their album last year in 2020 and one of their videos Rock N Roll Is Here To Stay became quite popular and that’s when their work caught the attention of this label.

“I had been writing to them for a couple of years, but they were also waiting for a good level of work for which they could sign us and eventually they wrote back to us saying that they were happy with what we had done,” Girish Pradhan of Girish And The Chronicles told EastMojo

“We spoke for a couple of weeks and finally signed a multi-album deal with Frontiers. We will be doing 3 or 4 albums with them. It’s quite a thrill for us and we are already working on the audio, video, photoshoots for our third album,” added Pradhan.
The album has not been named yet and it will be released next year.

GATC has been called to a music fest in Switzerland called UrRock Musik Festival 2021 headlined by Nazareth. “There we will be supporting other bands like Nazareth, Firewind, and all these European bands and its first of a kind so we’re looking forward to it. The show is on November 11,” said Pradhan.

Apart from that, the band has taken up another festival in the UK in June 2022, which will be headlined by a popular American band, and is also planning a small tour towards the end of this year in India.

The band’s lifestyle has changed quite a bit as they are a touring band, said Girish.
“We did a small tour last March-Sikkim, Guwahati, Meghalaya. It was a lucky opportunity right before the second wave hit. A lot of people came but at the same time it was controlled; there was a 50 per cent audience. The Meghalaya one was an open one but it was very far, in a river island in Jowai.”

“We had a really good response from the audience. The Guwahati crowd was awesome in Hard Rock Cafe. Darjeeling was fun too; Gangtok, as usual, hometown,” said Pradhan.

Three of the band members hail from Sikkim while their drummer is from Darjeeling. They have been settled in Bangalore for professional reasons.

Girish Pradhan, vocalist on the rhythm guitar, Suraz Sun, lead guitarist, Yogesh Pradhan, bass guitarist and Nagen Mongrati on the drums, have already started making demos and can’t wait to take their music to the next level with their new album.
