Shankuraj & Maitrayee will release a new song tomorrow

Assam-based singer and songwriter Shankuraj Konwar in collaboration with Maitrayee Patar is all set to release the official music video of ‘Gaane Gaane’ on April 13.

The video is directed by Assam’s renowned filmmaker Samujjal Kashyap and features the charismatic and talented Karishma Hazarika and Achinta Raj Kashyap. The video will have its first release via KC Digital Films on YouTube.

In conversation with VibesMojo, director Samujjal Kashyap said, “This music video is quite special to me as after a long time I’ve filmed a modern love song. We tried our best to denote the best of us, and this is KC Digital film’s second YouTube venture, so we are hoping that people will love our work.”

“The experience was really good…it was great to work with talented artists like Karishma, Shankuraj, and Maitrayee. We are also banking on their huge young fan base that they gained by their hard work for songs like Alakananda, Ki Bedonate, etc for which they saw huge success,” he added.

Speaking on the choice of the song, Kashyap said, “Although it’s a song which belongs to the romantic genre, it’s more of an upbeat song which will elevate and lighten up your mind. Plus, releasing this song that somehow makes you positive and enthusiastic at the time when people are more stressed out because of this virus is a great idea. Hence, we went ahead with this plan.”

The music video will have its grand premiere at Kadambari Creations, Rajgarh Road on April 13 at 6:30 PM. The director Samujjal Kashyap along with Shankuraj and Maitrayee, the artists Karishma and Achinta Raj Kashyap, and all the cast and crew will be present at the event.
