One of the finest indie-rock bands from the region — Trance Effect — kicked off the new year by releasing their debut music video titled Clowns. The band from Nagaland has been spilling their groovy music across the region and also been performing at jam-packed venues across the country.
Released on January 11, the song of Trance Effect has been buzzing the Internet and is also garnering huge views on YouTube with over 12 thousand views in just two days of launch. With a groovy lyrics, the song is stealing the hearts of many and at the same time making listeners dance in unison with the song.

While talking to the song-writer and the bassist of the band Imnamaong Imchen, VibesMojo got to know more about the song. Imchen said that the song was written behind the reality of the society where each and every individual tries to fit into it which is already in a mess. “The song is written around the concept of every individual in the society, who are pretending that they are doing fine but fights their own battle in life covered in paints,” added Imchen.

With Iuli Yeptho in the lead, the band is accompanied by by four energetic and talented musicians. While Sosang Longkumer brings in the fills and the groove with his drums, Temsujungba Jamir adds all the flavours with his precise guitar patterns and strums. Imchen is the bassist and also the brainchild behind the lyrics of many original songs that they play. Completing the group is Tako Chang, the guitarist of the band, who brings in all the groovy riffs and slays with melodic and soulful guitar solos.
The band Trance Effect has also bagged various awards in recent times, their last single that was released in September last year — New Beginning — being awarded the best rock song and also the best song-writer. The band is also going to release its maiden EP (extended play) in the month of February this year where they will include four tracks. The EP will be titled Clowns, which was recorded by Nash Longkumer, and is getting mixed and mastered by Tongs Kichu.
