Mizoram on Tuesday reported two more COVID-19 deaths, pushing the toll to 57, an official said.
Two women from the Aizawl district, aged 71 and 54, succumbed to the infection at the Zoram Medical College (ZMC), he said. The two victims had comorbidities, he added.
At least 49 people have died due to COVID-19 since January 10 this year. Eight people succumbed to the infection last year. Mizoram on Tuesday reported 317 COVID-19 cases, taking the state’s tally to 13,994.
The state now has 3,207 COVID-19 active cases, while 10,730 people have recovered from the infection.
At least 177 people were discharged from various COVID-19 Care Centres on Tuesday.
The recovery rate is 76.68 per cent.
