In a heart-warming story amidst all the chaos caused by the Coronavirus, a young lady in Mizoram volunteered to be the caretaker for a 93-year-old COVID positive woman.

According to Instagram page mizoraminsta, CT Ramnunmawii, a resident of Champhai Ruantlang tested positive for Covid-19 on her way home from Delhi. After receiving treatment at BSUP Complex, a government-run COVID care centre she recovered and was about to leave the centre, when she heard that the elderly lady has been admitted without having any caretaker as her families were also under quarantine.

The page wrote, “Without any hesitation, Ms CT insisted on taking care of her. After the authorities approved her request, she extended her stay at the covid care centre to take care of the 93-year-old patient. Mizoraminsta would like to applaud her kindness and her act of humanity even at times like this.”

At a time when people are only looking out for themselves, such a story restores faith in humanity.

This story has gone viral since then with over 17,000 reactions and almost 1,000 comments. Netizens have lauded the young lady for her noble gesture.
