In major mixup, Mizoram CM Zoramthanga featured as governor in 2020 edition of Manorama Yearbook; his humorous response is winning hearts on social media
Guwahati: Manorama Yearbook is considered the go-to guide and preparation book for all those aspiring for competitive exams. But what happens when Manorama messes it up? Well, people like Mizoram's chief minister Zoramthanga roast it back.
Manorama Yearbook 2020 made a major mistake in the small Mizoram section of the book where it put the picture of former CM Lal Thanhawla instead of Zoramthanga's picture. Also, in place of governor Jagdish Mukhi's image, the yearbook features Zoramthanga's image.
However, Zoramthanga took a sarcastic dig and wrote, "Thank you #Manorama Yearbook 2020.
I never knew I was the Prime Minister of India 🤗"
Though made in jest, the CM's tweet reflects that more research is needed to know about the region. The hashtags attached with the remark speaks volumes about how heedless the mainland is towards Northeast.
Furthermore, in the picture which shows the map of the state, its capital Aizawl is misspelt as Aizawal.
