Meghalaya: Entry points to be closed every 1st week from Sept-Nov

Decision taken to reduce the pressure faced by frontline workers who have been designated at the checkpoints

Shillong: The Meghalaya government on Thursday decided to close down all the entry points in the state every first week of the month starting September 1 till November 1.

Deputy chief minister Prestone Tynsong informed that every first week of the month, from September till November, the government will close down the entry points set up at various places.

“This has been done to reduce pressure on our frontline workers who have been designated at the checkpoints,” added Tynsong.
