‘DaddysRoad’ to allow people to get in touch & communicate with vehicle owner by scanning on code pasted on car; to help in traffic, emergency situations
Shillong: To solve issues like traffic and accident-related emergency situations in Shillong, a new mobile app -- DaddysRoad -- was launched in Meghalaya on Thursday.
DaddysRoad is a product of StroPole Technologies, an innovative startup company based in Bengaluru.
The app will allow a person to get in touch and communicate with the vehicle owner for various reasons by scanning on the code pasted on the car. The app will also ensure that the contact numbers of both the parties are not disclosed.
DaddysRoad distributor Cosmicwell Kharumnuid, said, “In many cases, we have seen that when we help out a person who has met with an accident, we are left helpless for not being able to inform the victim’s family. But this app will help us contact the victim’s family members and inform them of the accident.”
“In terms of parking, we have seen many times cars are being parked in a manner where it disrupts the other person to take out their car. So likewise this app will allow one to scan the code of that owner and inform that vehicle owner that they need to come and remove their car,” said Kharumnuid.
This app also allows vehicle owners to store their documents and have it handy on the app. A reminder will also be sent to vehicle owners concerning insurance and pollution renewals.
DaddysRoad app has already been launched in other Northeast states like Mizoram and Nagaland. The cost of subscription is Rs 600, which is a lifetime subscription.
