Imphal: A team of the Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB) unit of Manipur Police arrested two persons and seized drugs worth Rs 2 crore in the international market from Imphal on Tuesday.

As per reports, the police seized four packets of 40,000 WY tablets from the possession of the two accused in Imphal.

According to reports, the NAB team intercepted a car in which two individuals were travelling on Old Lambulane Road near GP Women’s College in Imphal. Upon checking of the vehicle, the team recovered four tightly wrapped plastic packets containing 40,000 WY tablets, the reports said.

The arrested duo have been identified as Md Sahidur Rahaman, 30, of Imphal East and Md Abir Khan, 37, a resident of Moreh Ward No 5 of Tengnoupal district.

A case has been registered against them at NAB police station for further investigation, the reports added.
