Imphal: In the last 24 hours, Manipur has reported 760 new cases and 11 deaths, taking the total confirmed cases to 74,341, while the cumulative number of deaths stands at 1,229.
According to the latest health bulletin, the state’s active cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday is 6,534, of which 2,380 people are in home isolation.
The new positive cases, including eight personnel of CAPF, were tested positive at RIMS (21), JNIMS (96), district hospitals (460), and other testing facilities (183).
The latest deaths were reported from Imphal East (4), Bishnupur (4), Imphal West (2) and Churachandpur (1).
Meanwhile, the new cases include 247 from Imphal West, 166 from Imphal East, 82 from Churachandpur, 76 from Kakching, 75 from Bishnupur, 42 from Thoubal, 21 from Kangpokpi, 17 from Senapati, seven each from Chandel, Noney, Tamenglong and Tengnoupal, five from Ukhrul and one from Jiribam districts, respectively.
Moreover, with 446 more persons were discharged on Wednesday, the recovery rate stood at 89.55%. Of the latest discharged persons, 175 are from home isolation, 11 from RIMS, six from JNIMS, 115 from COVID-19 care centres and 139 are from community home isolation centres (CHICs).
On July 6, a total of 26,944 persons received the vaccination, taking the total number of doses is 7,96,051. Of the cumulative doses, 7,07,184 have received the first dose and 88,867 people have fully vaccinated with the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
