Imphal: Manipur on Sunday reported 15 more deaths due to COVID-19 and 579 persons tested positive for the virus. The cumulative number of deaths related to COVID-19 has surged to 476 whereas the total confirmed positive cases is 35,354.
The victims are from Imphal West (7), Imphal East (6), Kakching (1) and Churachandpur (1) districts.
They were aged 65, 72, 24, 79, 66, 72, 60, 51, 36, 43, 58, 49, 48, 39 and 78 years, respectively.

The new positive cases are from Imphal West (197), Imphal East (191), Churachandpur (45), Thoubal (42), Kakching (37), Bishnupur (34), Ukhrul (9), Kangpokpi (8), Tengnoupal (5), Noney (3), Kamjong (3), Senapati (2), Tamenglong (2), and Chandel (1).
With these new positive cases, active cases have increased to 4,280 and the recovery rate has dipped to 86.54%.
