An auto driver found the victim with profusely bleeding and rushed him to AIIMS Trauma Center. The victim is out of danger now
Imphal: A 28-year-old youth from Manipur was reportedly stabbed by some miscreants in New Delhi in the wee hours on Friday. However, the Special Police Unit for North East (SPUNER) of Delhi Police managed to arrest three persons in connection with the case.
As per the preliminary report, the incident happened at around 3:45 am when the victim, identified as Shap Jajo, and currently residing at Chirag, was returning home after visiting friend’s place at Kishangarh in south Delhi. He was stabbed in his neck with a sharp object near a CNG filling station at Kishangarh.
An auto driver found the victim with profusely bleeding due to an injury and immediately rushed to the hospital at AIIMS Trauma Center for treatment. The victim is out of danger, it said.
Soon after the report received by the SPUNER office that one northeast person is injured, the police team rushed to the hospital and took stock of the situation.
Sources from SPUNER informed that the three individuals were arrested after the victim identified one of the culprits face through a photograph. Later, two others were traced down.
The culprit who identified by the victim is a known criminal in the area and there might be more people involved in the case. But right now, the victim is unavailable to give an official statement due to the injury, said the source.
An FIR was lodged against the assailants under 307 Indian Penal Code (an attempt to murder) at Kishangarh Police Station.
As per the sources, the three arrested persons will be produced before the court on Saturday.
The victim’s condition is stable and he will be discharged from the hospital on Saturday, said the source.
