Imphal: The police on Tuesday arrested Kamkholal Haokip alias James Bone Kuki, the member of a lesser known rebel group called Liberation Tiger of Tribals (LTT), in Henglep in Manipur's Churachandpur district.

According to police sources, James Bone had reportedly served Rs 5 lakh extortion notices to Nazareth Hospital and trader JP Selection on behalf of LTT, a non-Suspension of Operation (SoO) group.

A massive manhunt was launched after a case was registered over the extortion demand. He was eventually nabbed on Tuesday, said sources.

Further investigation is on.

The arrest has become a talk of the town as his name bears striking resemblance to James Bond, the popular fictional character created by novelist Ian Fleming in 1953.

No Time to Die is the forthcoming and latest spy film to hit theatres in the James Bond film series. It features Daniel Craig in his fifth and final outing as the fictional MI6 agent James Bond.
