Bilotson was among 5 Indian pugilists who reached finals and secured medals at recently-concluded 37th edition of Golden Glove of Vojvodina International
Imphal: Manipur boxer Laishram Bilotson Singh clinched silver medal at the recently concluded 37th edition of the Golden Glove of Vojvodina International Tournament held in Serbia.
Bilotson was among the five young Indian boxers who reached the finals and secured medals at the international boxing tournament, bringing laurels to the state and the nation.
Apart from Bilotson, the other silver-medal winners are Seloy Soy (49kg), Ajay Kumar (60kg) and Vijaydeep (69kg), whereas Harsh Gill (91kg) settled for a bronze medal.
During the final bout, Bilotson lost to Boris Karibian of Russia in a unanimous verdict.
Earlier, Laishram, the young pugilist from Manipur’s Thoubal district, also won a gold medal under the 56-category during the 3rd Men's and Women Youth Championship 2019 held at Uttarakhand’s Rudrapur.
The Serbian boxing tournament, which was held from July 9-15, featured 22 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Russia and others.
