A total of 37,358 students took this year’s HSLC exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur from March 17 to April 4
Imphal: The Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM) on Saturday officially announced the Class X 2019 results at a press conference chaired by state education minister T Radheshyam in Imphal. The scorecards are now available on www.manresults.nic.in, the official result portal of the BOSEM.
Bhumika Shamurailatpam from Pitambara English School emerged as the state’s topper with a total 572 marks out of 600, followed by Sophiya Asem of Bright Career Academy with 567 marks.
A total of 37,358 students took this year’s board exam, which was conducted by BOSEM from March 17 to April 4 this year. Of this, 74.69% students came out with flying colours.
Among the regular candidates, 78.93% boys and 76.54% girls passed the exam, whereas 36.52% male and 42.66% female students cleared the Class X board exam as external students.
Apart from the official results portal of the BOSEM, the candidates can also download the scorecards from other third party websites as well, such as www.examresults.net, www.indiaresults.com, www.results.gov.in.
The High School Leaving Certificate Examination is a crucial stage for the students as this is a major deciding factor to choose the streams for higher studies.
Meanwhile, the board has asked the schools to collect certificate-cum-marks sheet of the students from June 3 onwards. Provisional certificates- cum-marks sheets will be issued to the qualifying students from May 21 onwards on payment of Rs 500 plus Rs 50 as the cost of application form.
“Unsuccessful candidates of the HSLC Examination, 2019 who want to sit the HSLC Examination, 2020 as regular candidates may be re-admitted to Class X in their respective schools within 25 days of the date of announcement of the results. The schools are to send the names of such newly admitted students to the board within 30 days of the announcement of the results. Internal marks for these re-admitted students are to be entered in the application form,” said the board in a press statement.
