With the festive season round the corner, PM Modi on Monday appealed to the people of India to promote 'vocal for local' and use local stuffs and products, which will be a boost for the local vendors as well as for the economy.
Extending festival greetings to the people, PM Modi said, “You are seeing today that along with vocal for local, the mantra of local for Diwali is resonating everywhere.”

Firecrackers from Barpeta
Although there has been a lot of hue and cry going around regarding the ban and usage of fire crackers, the Assam government has decided to do away with the ban.
