Nagaland’s fashion industry got a big boost at ‘Ardour: Fall/Winter 2019’, a fashion event organised by the Novaturient Management at the Regional Centre for Excellence in Music and Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma near Kohima on Saturday.

Altogether, 11 designers, including one brand Runway NE, showcased their creations at the fashion event. The show displayed the creations of Sanjeev Tamang, Asang Quiens, Naga Az Creations, Runway NE, Mephruwe Akami, Neisavinuo Rupreo, Wulo Akami whose collection themed ‘Ancestral Echo’, is inspired by the richness of the Naga cultural and traditional attire with its symbolic and spiritual significances, Mansha Aomeshu whose collection themed, ‘Kaleidoscope’, is inspired by the vibrant indigenous patterns and textiles and also Japanese and Chinese attire, Munye, Hetoli Saghelimi and Achunbo Chawang.
Fashion stalls were also set up for sale where the show designers displayed their works. Speaking with EastMojo, board member of the Novaturient Management, Neitho Khamo said “The stalls were mainly for the designers to showcase their products for sale and appraisals. In turn creating a platform for them”.

“Sales were good as almost all of the guest from the show checked out all the stuffs,” Khamo added. All 11 designers and one Korean Skincare brand ‘Puremind’ showcased their designs and products for sale and appraisal.
Khamo later informed that ‘Novaturient’ under the theme, “ARDOUR” strives to produce “thoughtful and a sense of security on latent aspects of management solution across a spectrum of services to encourage entrepreneurship and recreate one of the most awaited fashion event in the land of festivals, a night of dazzling glamour celebrating design and craftsmanship”.

The fashion event was powered by Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA); co-powered by Tech Build, Kohima.
