Mumbai: Tara Alisha Berry, Abhishek Singh, IAS, Delhi Deputy Commissioner are set to star in filmmaker Saif Baidya’s upcoming feature film Shubh Muhurat, announced at a press conference held in JW Marriott, Mumbai n Friday.

Shubh Muhurat will be Siliguri-born director Saif Baidya’s third feature film after NCR Chapter 1, Noise of Silence which was on controversial NRC. Saif Baidya has directed a couple of short films including Chaar Pandrah, COD-City of Dreams, Ittar – the Perfume to name a few.

Lead actor Tara Alisha Berry, director Saif Baidya, producers Adarsh Mishra, Sam Khan & Rupesh Sinha were present at the announcement event of their upcoming feature film. Delhi Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Singh, IAS, could not make it to the event due to some last-minute engagements.

Shubh Muhurat will be filled with comedy, humour, entertainment, education, and social awareness.

The shooting of the film is scheduled in Ranchi, Jharkhand in the next month. 

Tara Alisha Berry said, “Saif is a very talented director. I have seen his previous films. I am really excited to work with him. Can’t wait for more for the shooting scheduled next month in Jharkhand.”

“I have worked earlier in a short film Chaar Pandrah directed by Saif Baidya. But this will be a whole new experience working with him again since it is a feature film,” said IAS officer turned actor Abhishek Singh who was nominated for a Filmfare award last year. Abhishek has worked in web series like Rangbaz Firse, Delhi Crime 2.

Director Saif Baidya said, “Shubh Muhurat will be a film full of entertainment and at the same time it will have a social message too. I don’t want to reveal the story yet.”

“We are happy to be associated with Saif Baidya once again. We have worked with him on a few projects before. He is an amazing, dynamic director. We are honoured to have Abhishek Sir, who is a renowned IAS Officer of our country who is currently posted in Delhi, and, Tara Alisha Berry who is a very promising actor. We are really looking forward to this big project,” said Adarsh Mishra, Sam Khan & Rupesh Sinha.

“There will be three songs in the film and as proposed we are planning to shoot in exotic location of North East India”, said by Joysankar Bhattacharjee, Associate Producer.
