Actor Vikrant Massey was born on April 3 1987 in Nagpur, Maharashtra, to Meena and Jolly Massey. Initially, he was a television actor with appearance in several television serials. He made his debut in 2004 in daily soap ‘Kahaan hoon main’. Later, he was seen in several television serials, including ‘Balika Vadhu’, ‘Qubool hai’, ‘Dharam Veer’ etc.

He stepped into Bollywood in 2013 with the well-known movie ‘Lootera’ where he appeared in a brief shot. Since then, he got a role in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and also ‘Half Girlfriend’. Massey also has an interest in jazz and contemporary dancing.

He has indeed grown as an actor, which was quite apparent in the 2017 movie ‘Chapak’ based on acid-attack victims. He starred opposite Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. His acting skills are quite phenomenal and have made a place in millions of hearts with his performance in numerous movies and web series. Mirzapur (2018):

Mirzapur is a web series released on November 15, 2018. Vikrant Massey played the role of Bablu Pandit for which he has gained a huge fan following. His plain yet realistic role has left an impression on the audience. He played the character of a simple topper young man who was forced to join the criminal world in Mirzapur and work with the mafia Akhandananda Tripathi. He eventually became the right hand of Kaleen bhaiya and got used to crime and politics. He was killed in the end by the villain of the story Munna which has developed some sense of sympathy among the audience. Several critics have appreciated Vikrant for his role in Mirzapur.

Criminal Justice (2019):

 Criminal Justice is an Indian thriller drama web series that was released on January 2 on an OTT platform. He played the character of a young boy named Aditya who was a footballer and also was engaged in part-time taxi-services. One night he was shocked when he saw his one-night stand partner death on her bed and eventually he was accused of the murder. While imprisoned, he had to go through the life of hell, tortured and bullied by his fellow prisoners. It is a series based on a murder mystery. Although the series is a bit lengthy but the audience won’t be able to resist binge-watching because of the acting of Massey.

Chhapak (2020):

Chhapak is an Indian movie based on the survivors of acid attack. It was released on January 10 2020 and the movie depicts the tragic life of Malti who is an acid attacked victim played by the Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone. The story is inspired by Laxmi Agarwal, a real life acid-attack survivor. Vikrant Massey played the role of Amol who supports Malti and encourages her to serve in his NGO. Later he fell in love with Malti and decided to start a family with her. Vikrant’s performance in this movie was just commendable and the story delivers us with a social message on Acid Attack; it’s a sensitive movie yet very powerful and has indeed inspired its huge audience.

Recently, the actor had tested positive for Coronavirus and confirmed the news on Instagram, saying, ” Despite necessary precautions on shoot, I’ve tested Covid positive…In self quarantine. Requesting all those who’ve come in close contact with me in the last few days, to get themselves tested ASAP.”

“I’m taking the prescribed medications & adequate rest and currently doing fine. Urging everyone to do the basics right, and step out of your homes, ONLY IF NECESSARY” he added.
