Guwahati: Jettwings Group of Institutes celebrated its annual convocation for the 15th consecutive year to confer the degrees on the eligible graduates of the Academic Year 2020-21 during an event held at the Jettwings Central Campus, Guwahati on January 10, 2022.
The event was attended by the National Joint Organising Secretary of ABVP, Sri Shriniwas, who was the Chief Guest at the event, among other dignitaries including Dr Binita Bhagawati, Principal of K.K. Handique Govt. Sanskrit College, Guwahati, Nirav Ghelani, Zonal Organising Secretary, ABVP (NE), Dr Biswajit Sarma, Director of College Development Council (CDC), Gauhati University and a host of other dignitaries, professors, teachers & students.
The students organised a cultural event with various regional dance, songs and chorus performances, which was followed by conferring of respective Degrees to the students by the Dignitaries.
Talking about the extensive indigenous variety found among the students of Jettwings, the Chief Guest, Sri Shriniwas, said, “The beauty of Northeast India lies in the varied culture and its people. Today, being a part of this event, I witnessed the same. The very essence of NE’s beautiful and rich culture, which was brought to the stage by the students from different corners of the region, was a pleasure to the eyes. As a batch graduates today, I hope these young children continue to pursue their dreams and make us proud going ahead”.
During the convocation, students were awarded their diploma degrees and top meritorious students were awarded as the “Brightest Star of the Year” of the respective institutes under the brand umbrella of Jettwings.
The “Brightest Star of the Year of Jettwings School of Aviation” was conferred to Amrutaa Vibho, who is now a student at the Stanford University. She has been working closely with NASA on a research about Dark Matter and International Institute for Aeronautical Science for a Citizen Astronaut Program. She also received a $10,000 scholarship from Florida Institute of Technology for a program in BS Aerospace.
Hinting on the coming of a new campus for Fashion Design and Architecture under Gauhati University at Guwahati City the ceremony was concluded by the Managing Director of Jettwings Group of Institutes & Celebrity fashion designer, Barsha Adtya Singh with a vote of thanks to everyone who made the event a success.
