21 from Kohima, 2 from Mon, 1 each from Mokokchung & Kiphire test positive; 52 from Dimapur, 2 from Kohima recover
Kohima: With 25 more testing positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, the state's tally stands at 4245. The recovery rate has increased to 87.82, with another 54 COVID-19 patients recovering on Tuesday. Among the new recovered cases, 52 are from Dimapur, and two are from Kohima.
Among the new cases, 21 are from Kohima, two from Mon, and one each from Mokokchung and Kiphire. As per the segregation of the new patients, 15 are returnees, and 10 are through traced contacts.
Out of the returnees, 12 are from Kohima and one each from Mon and Mokokchung. Out of the 10 traced contacts, nine are from Kohima, and one is from Mon.
The current COVID-19 status in Nagaland:
Besides the eight COVID-19 deaths, two deaths are COVID-19 positive but not due to COVID-19. Another five deaths are under investigation. Out of the 496 active cases, 485 are asymptomatic, eight are mild symptomatic and three are moderate symptomatic.
Further, out of the 4,245 positive cases, the distribution across various categories of people are: 1,823 cases of Armed Forces, 1,312 cases of Returnees, 309 cases of Frontline Workers and 801 cases of Traced Contacts.
A total of 42,339 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR and results of 41,173 samples have been received. On Truenat, a total of 24,384 samples have been sent for testing, and results of 24,374 samples have been received. Through Rapid Antigen Test, results of 897 samples have been received. In all 66, 444 samples have been tested so far. A total of 859 persons are presently under Facility Quarantine.
